Smart solutions for you laundry from Samsung

Bespoke AI:Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has announced the launch of smart washing machines that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reduce energy use by up to 70% while improving dirt removal by 24%.

The tech giant has introduced the “Bespoke AI™ Washer and Dryer” series that will be released in stores in Europe and the Middle East in August.

As announced, the new Bespoke AI washing machines incorporate the AI Ecobubble™ technology, turning the detergent into bubbles quickly absorbed by the clothes.

“Using Ecobubble technology, the washer reduces energy usage by up to 70% — delivering the same cleanliness to clothes, even in cold water. Moreover, the technology also improves soil removal by 24% and provides 45.5%3 better fabric care, making every load cleaner and more cared for than ever,” Samsung noted.

Reduce Energy Waste

Customers can, among other things, further reduce energy waste with the AI Wash Cycle, an intelligent function that washes clothes thoroughly and gently with less water and detergent.

By detecting fabric weight and quality and analyzing water turbidity levels with each wash, AI Wash Cycle actively monitors how dirty clothes are during the wash. Thanks to the Auto Dispense function, which adjusts the ideal ratio of water and detergent and the soaking, rinsing, and spinning times, this function quickly and efficiently delivers the best laundry results every time.

This feature calculates the amount of detergent and fabric softener needed for each wash, so the customers don’t have to guess every time.

It holds enough detergent for up to one month of washing, so the detergent container does not need to be refilled after each wash.

Smart and Sustainable Solutions

When it comes to drying clothes, the Bespoke AI dryer offers a variety of energy-saving options. By using recycled hot air, the dryer can also reduce its overall running costs, as well as its carbon footprint.

The two front-loading laundry devices connect to the SmartThings app, allowing users to manage energy use at home with SmartThings Energy.

This service allows users to monitor and manage their energy use easily and suggests ways to be more efficient so that everyone can apply daily sustainability to their laundry routine.

In addition, SmartThings Clothing Care offers optimal clothing management services tailored to users’ lifestyles. Based on clothing material, usage patterns, and season, SmartThings Clothing Care will recommend the best wash and dry cycle for clothing, allowing users to schedule laundry, order detergent, and more.

As pointed out by Samsung, “laundry rooms can be both stylish and functional. With this in mind, the Bespoke AI™ Washer and Dryer are designed in line with Bespoke’s vision to create an overall user experience that considers both the usage and space of a product”.

“SpaceMax™ technology, in particular, creates more space inside the machine to optimize the mechanical design, incorporating a larger drum without increasing the external dimensions. Consumers can enjoy the washer’s 11-kilogram capacity, the largest available within the 600-millimeter category. Moreover, the new Bespoke front-load laundry pair features a modern, flat-front design that blends into any interior design theme. Finished with a round, tempered-glass door that delivers both style and durability, the Bespoke AI™ Washer and Dryer’s simple yet clean form factor is the perfect choice for any modern home,” the tech giant noted.
